Why Queen Riders

She should not have to be the only girl on every ride.

Her next step is not only harder trails. Queen Riders gives her real progression on Mount Fromme—and a small crew of girls who care about mountain biking as much as she does.

The change she can feel

With each ride, she is riding differently.

Not because every feature suddenly feels easy. Because she has spent time reading trails, making decisions and discovering what she can do alongside girls who are progressing too.

Real terrain. Her own decisions.Progress that carries into the next ride.
01

She reads the trail sooner.

Braking points and lines become decisions she makes—not instructions she waits to hear.

02

She owns the next challenge.

She learns when to try, when to pause and how to choose the right challenge.

03

She rides as part of the crew.

A group of riders becomes a crew that wants another lap together.

Six sessions with momentum

Each session builds on the last.

If the fit sounds like her, this is how the coaching builds. Scan it in seconds, then open each stage for the full story. The exact trails may shift with the group, weather and conditions.

These coaching stages develop across six weekly sessions—not a fixed day-by-day itinerary. The pace follows the riders.

Stage 1Settle in. Find the crew.Easy blue warm-up · Bobsled

We check bikes, learn names and keep the opening pedal relaxed. A familiar blue trail such as Bobsled gives the girls time to ride, pause, talk and settle into the group while coaches quietly observe braking, cornering, line choice and climbing pace. It should feel like the beginning of a good camp—not an audition.

Stage 2Start building on purpose.Fromme drop-off · Longer blue laps

The group gets into a more deliberate riding rhythm. Coaches introduce focused cues, then let the girls apply them on real terrain. The route may use Bobsled, Expresso or other suitable trails depending on the group, conditions and what coaches observed in the opening session.

Stage 3Take skills into the tech.Roots · Rocks · Natural lines

As confidence grows, coaching moves toward more natural, technical riding. Appropriate sections on trails such as Kirkford or Leppard can create chances to read roots, rocks and changing lines. Coaches break down the useful details, offer options and help each rider choose a challenge she can own.

Stage 4Put the pieces together.Putting skills together

Linking familiar skills is the next step forward. The group links longer sections, carries skills from one trail to the next and needs fewer reminders from the coach. For the right group, a trail such as Expresso may be part of the conversation; the actual route always follows rider readiness, weather, closures and current trail conditions.

Stage 5Less instruction. More riding.Favourite laps · Crew energy

By the final session, the girls know one another and the coaches know the group. Camp finishes with more uninterrupted riding, favourite sections and room to enjoy the progress without turning every moment into a lesson. She leaves with a clear recap—and, ideally, a few girls she wants to ride with again.

Possible trail mix: Roadside, King of the Shore, Bobsled, The Griffins, Leppard, Kirkford, Crinkum Crankum, Floppy Bunny, Natural High, Expresso and Lower Oil Can. The route is adjusted for rider readiness, weather, closures and current trail conditions. No rider is required to attempt every feature.

Does she need to be an advanced rider?

No. Queen Riders is for capable blue-trail riders, not experts. She should already ride trails such as Bobsled in control; coaching meets her from there.

What if riders progress at different speeds?

Coaches adjust pace, route and challenge within the group. Features are introduced with options, and a rider is never pressured to attempt something she is not ready for.

Where are drop-off and pickup?

For weekend and school-break camps, the group meets at Kilmer Park for the first session. For every session after the first, drop-off is on the north side of the Mount Fromme parking lot . Pickup is at Kilmer Park every session. After-school camps use the north side of the Mount Fromme parking lot for drop-off every session.

What does she need to bring?

A well-fitting mountain bike with gears and working hand brakes, a certified helmet, weather-ready clothing, water, snacks and lunch.

Does camp run in the rain?

Yes. Camp runs rain or shine. Coaches adjust routes when trail, weather or air-quality conditions require it.

Is Queen Riders exclusively for girls?

Yes. Queen Riders is a girls-only camp. It is designed for capable riders who want to progress alongside other girls their age.

Who will coach her?

Coaches are skilled mountain bikers trained in first aid and in teaching skills at the right level for each rider. Every coach completes a criminal record check and leads no more than five riders.

What if we are not sure she is at the right level?

Email us two or three trails she rides now and anything she tends to avoid. We will give you an honest fit check before you choose your dates.

What is the cancellation policy?

More than 10 calendar days before camp, families may transfer to another available camp at no charge or receive a refund less a $35 administration fee. Cancellations received 10 calendar days or fewer before camp are not eligible for a refund, credit or transfer. The complete policy is shown before payment.

Are the named trails guaranteed?

No. They show the kind of riding camp may include. Coaches choose each route based on rider readiness, weather, closures and current trail conditions. No rider is required to attempt every feature.
